Cupertino

In 1935, thirty-six winegrowers founded the Cantina Sociale di Copertino, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and dealing directly with the vinification of their grapes and with the wine trade. Today there are 300 members who contribute their harvest, constantly aiming at improving the finished product.

Traditional vines: Negroamaro, the enological symbol of Salento, is the main one, flanked by black Malvasia, Primitivo, white Malvasia and other varieties acclimatized in these lands.
